Camfil Power Systems is a leading supplier of air filtration and acoustic treatment systems for gas turbines with its headquarters for the Americas in Laval. Your primary function would consist of the following activities:
- Review design requirements to clearly define the scope;
- Using Solid Works, develop and optimize the 3D models and drawing package that meets project constraints and requirements keeping in mind quality, cost and project timeline;
- Ensure design meet specification, recognized industry standards and legislation;
- Optimize design for manufacturing and cost;
- Find solutions to problems and implement into design and drawings;
- Support project engineer, the project and sales team, collaborate with other Camfil's branches depending on the project team setup;
- Prepare and optimize sales drawing and 3D models according to customer requirements based on concepts or mark-ups provided by sales engineer;
- Prepare and work with bills of material (BOMs);
Do you have the following requirements?
- Approximately 3+ years of experience and a willingness to learn;
- Excellent knowledge of Solid Works;
- Good understanding of fabrication processes;
- Familiar with welding processes and welding symbols on drawings;
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and practices;
- Relevant design and drafting experience;
- Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering;
- Bilingual spoken and written.
