Enhance ecological integrity as an Environmental Specialist with the City of Laval. This in-person role offers a chance to manage natural environments and engage with a diverse community.
In this temporary 2-year position, you will evaluate watercourses, conduct biological assessments, and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
Your role includes writing technical documents and collaborating with various municipal departments while providing guidance to citizens and developers on environmental practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct ecological value assessments and prepare detailed reports
• Issue recommendations on projects for environmental compliance
• Facilitate inspections and monitor for adherence to standards
• Educate stakeholders about relevant environmental regulations
• Gather and analyze data for reporting purposes
Requirements:
• DEC in environmental studies or related field
• 24 months experience in relevant environmental roles
• Strong knowledge of watercourse management standards
• A valid driver’s license is necessary
• Willingness to perform fieldwork in diverse conditions
