Job Description Part Time - 30hrs bi-weekly - Days/Evenings Job Title Activity Aide/Programmer

Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, gerontology, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university or enrolled in same.

Complaint Resolution, Public Relations, Long Term Care Industry, CQI Principles, Project Management Principles, Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Facilitation Skills.

Relevant experience preferably in a long-term care setting; and adult day centers. Experience in assessing activation needs, development, implementation and evaluation of activation programs.

• Carry out all assigned duties in compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Company policy
• Follow safe work practices as directed by their supervisor and as required by the applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• Participate in all required occupational health and safety training
• Use appropriate equipment and wear personal protective equipment or clothing, as required by Extendicare/Para Med
• Report any known or identified health and safety hazards or violations to their supervisor
• Refrain from any conduct that puts themselves, workers, contractors or others at risk

Part time Compensation Details $27.51 - $29.12
