The Government of Yukon is looking for compassionate individuals to join the Continuing Care division. In this role, you will assist residents with activities while respecting their dignity and privacy. Ideal candidates bring experience in long-term care and strong interpersonal skills to enrich the lives of those you support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with daily living activities
• Support light meal preparation for clients
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure resident dignity
• Engage with residents from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Manage heavy lifting during resident care
Requirements:
• Experience caring for chronically ill or elderly clients
• Recent personal care experience preferably in long-term care
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Completion of required screenings and certifications
