We are looking for an IT Business Partner (ITBP) who will report to the Senior Director, ITBP and Delivery, and who will work closely with leaders and their team members to identify, formulate, and prioritize investment opportunities that leverage information systems and technology to enable business strategy and drive change. The role includes accountability for project initiation, delivery and closure of the portfolio of projects for BRP’s Marketing and Digital, maximizing value delivery by providing IT project delivery management expertise.
Responsibilities- Act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders, actively participating in strategic discussions and decisions.
- Serve as the IT contact for BRP’s Marketing and Digital through governance and one‑on‑one meetings, establishing positive business relations.
- Build a global view of business needs, advising and identifying, formulating, and evaluating opportunities.
- Establish awareness of IT requirements to facilitate better investment decisions.
- Manage budgeted IT‑funded projects that relate to the marketing and digital tower.
- Support business case development, technical feasibility analysis, high‑level solutioning, and cost and time estimates of IT components.
- Work with business to facilitate request prioritization, optimizing investments and managing expectations.
- Oversee and proactively manage the IT initiative portfolio of the business tower, contributing to active management of the BRP project portfolio.
- Assess major IT risks that may impact the business and ensure measures are established to manage these risks.
- Understand the IT service offering to provide relevant recommendations and identify synergy opportunities between business areas.
- Monitor IT performance for the business tower and proactively manage expectations.
- Participate in relevant IT project governance committees to review scope, budget, timeline, and expected benefits, and help remove obstacles.
- Serve as the interface between business needs and IT/Technology vendors, ensuring vendor solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Ensure business and technical architecture and cybersecurity recommendations are followed to avoid over‑complexity and secure long‑term solutions.
- Contribute to and influence the IT strategic planning exercise to support the achievement of business tower objectives.
- 5–10 years of business/industry experience, with at least 3 years managing IT business solutions project delivery, significant leadership responsibilities, and proven influence over senior management and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management, customer service, and business analysis.
- Experience in marketing and digital environments.
- Experience evaluating the costs, risks, and profitability of IT projects.
- Demonstrated execution of effective management of a portfolio of IT investments.
- Experience in consulting, process re‑engineering, organizational transformation, Six Sigma or Lean is an asset.
- Ability to leverage technology to enable business strategy and drive change.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business technology management, commerce, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong judgment, tact, and the ability to resolve sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capacity for analysis and synthesis.
- Ability to influence, convince, and initiate change.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
