Elevate your career with York Regional Police as a Business Intelligence GIS Specialist. This full-time, permanent role is designed for experts in GIS to deliver impactful data analytics.
As a GIS Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS data, ensuring quality, and integrating business intelligence applications within YRP’s ArcGIS environment. Your work will also involve creating web maps and supporting community safety initiatives through the Public Facing Data Portal.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop workflows for organizational GIS needs
• Update and publish data on ArcGIS servers
• Create functionality for the Community Safety Data Portal
• Conduct GIS server maintenance and improve performance
• Gather requirements for new GIS projects
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, or Computer Science
• Three years’ experience in GIS development and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of ESRI’s GIS solutions
• Familiarity with front-end web languages
• Problem-solving skills for operational issues
