Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, customer obsessed, and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead our sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory planning activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to support our customers while driving improvements in cost, supplier performance, and inventory management.
If you enjoy building supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, solving supply chain challenges, and leading continuous improvement initiatives, we'd love to hear from you! This role reports to the site Operations Manager and will be directly responsible for leading a critical function that directly impacts business performance. This is an opportunity to influence, drive and own supplier strategy and supply chain improvement initiatives across a global organization and at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all purchasing and sourcing activities to support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and contract negotiations.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to support business growth and new product initiatives.
- Optimize inventory levels while maintaining strong customer service performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when required.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure material availability.
- Analyze purchasing and planning processes and implement continuous improvements.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing activities, inventory planning, and supplier performance.
