Purpose of the position  We are currently looking for a 'handyman' for our buildings in the complex located in the Ste-Rose district of Laval. The position is full-time (day and/or weekend hours are possible) and on call for emergencies. Are you versatile, agile with your hands, and have a strong sense of organization? You are the person we are looking for!

As a member of the maintenance team, the concierge's main function is to ensure the general upkeep of the building.
Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :
Make service calls
Remove snow and ice on sidewalks
Clear and salt the entrances
Preventive maintenance on equipment
Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
Actively participate in various company committees - Know and apply company policies and procedures
Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
Knowledge of plumbing and electricity
Able to change water heaters
All other related tasks
Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
See to the maintenance and monitoring of equipment and mechanical systems
Knowledge of fire safety rules
Knowledge of ventilation system
Carry out site maintenance according to the frequency planned for this purpose or when required
Clean and carry out tasks related to the maintenance of floors and carpets in common areas
Ensure security and compliance with building regulations
Maintain the grounds, indoor parking, storage spaces
Ensure the cleanliness of the working environment is maintained
Ensure maintenance of property spaces and systems
Wash windows at main and secondary entrances
Taking out the trash
Able to lay floating floor

Required qualifications :
A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
Customer service experience an asset
Experience in construction an asset
