Job Description
The Maintenance/Yard Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall safety of the marina yard, storage areas, and facility buildings. This role plays a key part in supporting daily operations by assisting across departments and ensuring the property remains well‑maintained, efficient, and presentable. The position focuses primarily on general upkeep, coordination, and hands‑on support, with minimal equipment operation. This is a full‑time, seasonal role.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all garbage and debris are regularly removed from the property
- Perform lawn care duties, including grass cutting, trimming, and general groundskeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, and shop buildings
- Assist with general yard tasks such as moving materials, organizing inventory, and supporting team members
- Support dryland and service teams with boat handling and preparation as required (limited equipment use)
- Ensure all walkways, work spaces, and storage areas remain safe, clear, and hazard‑free
- Perform routine property maintenance, including minor repairs and upkeep
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and deliveries
- Participate in daily morning meetings as required
- Communicate effectively with team members, including the Service Coordinator and Management
- Monitor yard conditions and report any maintenance, safety, or security concerns
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing cleanliness and safety standards across the property
- Support seasonal operations such as winterization, yard reorganization, and general facility upkeep
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in maintenance, yard work, or general labor is an asset
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to take direction and work independently when needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
Full‑time hours, 40 hours per week. Wage based on experience, starting at $20 per hour.
