Rainy River

Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. Position Overview

The role of the Underground Maintenance Short-Term Scheduler is to organize and influence the safe and efficient delivery of reliability centered maintenance practices and programs for the underground mining fleet. A specific focus will be working with the maintenance crew and operations general supervisor to organize and execute the weekly maintenance plan and day-to-day maintenance activities and record equipment downtime statuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpreting the weekly maintenance schedule and coordinating the execution with the Underground Maintenance Supervisor.
• Communicate with Underground Operations Dispatch and Operations Supervisor to schedule timing of weekly planned work.
• Focus on maintenance plans and practices in the 1 day to 2-week space.
• Communicate with Underground Operations Dispatch and Operations Supervisor to understand ongoing break-in work and allocate appropriate resources according to priorities.
• Maintain down time codes, statuses, and estimated up times in downtime tracking program (Maintenance Monitor), for both Coeur and contractor equipment fleets.
• Daily review of previous days or shifts equipment downtime with Coeur Maintenance Supervisor and Thyssen Mining representative.
• Review daily pre-ops inspections, create work orders, and allocate resources for P1 and P2 work accordingly.
• Create P1 and P2 work orders for break-in and found work.
• Coordinate parts and material requirements for P1 and P2 work orders with the warehouse and supply chain team.
• Close out P1 and P2 work orders with appropriate information.
• Complete shift close out report and crossover with incoming Short-Term Scheduler and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complete radio check-ins with underground mechanics.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience within heavy equipment or industrial setting. Previous underground mining…
