Responsibilities
  • Ensure the application of good laboratory practices and compliance with safety rules
  • Perform quality control tests using specialized tools (ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meters, etc.)
  • Work closely on the development, implementation, and monitoring of analysis methods for food and agricultural matrices using appropriate techniques (titrimetry, centrifugation, electrometry, ELISA techniques, etc.)
  • Ensure quality control of raw materials and finished products at the plant and/or in the laboratory
  • Verify, document, and interpret laboratory results and prepare appropriate reports to support operations
  • Support production in the control of various analytical instruments (NIR)
  • Perform any other related tasks
Experience, skills and knowledge
  • College diploma (DEC) in laboratory techniques in analytical chemistry or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in physico-chemical analysis
  • Experience in the agri-food, food, or environmental field (an asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel
  • Techniques: titrimetry, electrometry, gravimetry, centrifugation, partitioning (solid/liquid), ELISA, visual color comparison
  • Use of equipment: ICP, LECO, spectrometers, pH meter, fat extractor
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong learning ability, resourcefulness, and autonomy
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Teamwork skills
