Become an essential member of Charles River's team as an Assistant Veterinary Technician in Laval. Focus on animal welfare and facilitate pre-clinical studies through hands-on care.
This role requires compassion for animals along with maintaining laboratory standards. You will perform simple medical tasks under supervision and document various data points throughout the day. The position primarily operates on weekdays, with a scheduled weekend rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure good welfare for all laboratory animals
• Maintain veterinary laboratory operations
• Assist in holding animals for veterinary care
• Collect and record data accurately
• Balance multiple tasks to achieve lab objectives
Requirements:
• Capable of lifting weights up to 20 kg
• Knowledgeable in following explicit operational procedures
• Flexible and adaptable to new challenges
• Must undergo an annual tuberculosis test
• Full-time role with some overtime on occasion
