Quality Control Coordinator

Lead quality activities across the company’s Laval and Hawkesbury sites.

Mission

Oversee all quality-related activities, combining hands‑on floor presence with process control, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with standards (GMP-like environment)
  • Lead internal and customer audits (preparation, execution, follow-up)
  • Manage non-conformities and corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Train and support production teams on quality standards
  • Perform inspections, sampling, and in‑process quality checks
  • Validate first articles before production launch
  • Maintain traceability and quality documentation
  • Monitor and analyze quality KPIs (defects, returns, scrap, etc.)
  • Collaborate with production, management, and cross‑functional teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Address production issues and support operators on the floor
  • Travel between Laval and Hawkesbury sites
Your Profile
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance in manufacturing
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing (robust asset)
  • Hands‑on experience with audits and non‑conformance management
  • Ability to balance floor presence and process/documentation work
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Good communication and training abilities
  • Autonomous and well‑organized
  • Functional English required
  • Technical diploma (DEC) in plastics or related field (asset)
  • Comfortable with data entry, tracking tools, and documentation systems
Working Conditions
  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (to be confirmed)
  • Hybrid role between floor and office
  • Travel between two sites (mileage reimbursed)
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with strong quality requirements
