RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sales of merchandise and meet the requirements and expectations of the customer.
- To provide product requirement estimates and take-offs from blueprints for customers building projects and to actively and aggressively sell merchandise from such estimates.
- Maintenance of computer estimating program.
- To co‑ordinate and order special order inventory from project sales.
- To assist at the sales counter or other areas of department as needed.
- To ensure self-development is planned for and initiative is taken to improve knowledge, skills or attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Previous building materials and estimating experience required.
- Must be willing to take Estimator training.
- Requires good computer skills.
- Must have good public relation skills, pleasant personality and desirable personal traits.
