It includes, among other things, a pre‑selection skills inventory, an interview, a psychometric assessment, a security clearance, a medical examination, and a comprehensive review of the file.

• Be a Canadian citizen;
• Not have been convicted, anywhere, of an act or omission that the Criminal Code describes as an offense;
• Hold a valid class 4A driver's license or be in the process of obtaining it;
• Hold a diploma from the initial patrol‑gendarmerie training program (PFIPG) from the École nationale de police du Québec (ÉNPQ) or have obtained an equivalence from the ÉNPQ, or have your ENPQ cohort number;
