Transform lives as a Mentor at ESSC, providing vital support in Gardena. Engage directly with adults with disabilities to promote independence and community involvement.
As a full-time Life Skills Coach, you will work a Monday to Friday schedule, focusing on delivering high-quality adult day services.
Your role will include planning engaging activities, assisting with personal care, and fostering self-advocacy among individuals. Commitment to empathy and respect is key in this rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individuals in assessments and goal evaluations
• Develop and oversee Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
• Guide individuals in selecting enriching life skills activities
• Supervise and provide personal care during service
• Train individuals in using assistive communication tools
Requirements:
• Must possess a High School diploma
• Relevant experience of 2-4 years preferred
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications mandatory
• Effective communication and patience required
• Capacity to lift individuals and travel locally
