Wellness Specialist at Chief Zzeh Gittlit School

The School Wellness Specialist role is a full-time term position until March 31, 2029. You will collaborate closely with the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and school staff to deliver consultations, counseling, and support tailored to local needs. Your impact will drive necessary changes in education and community wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assessments and consultations to students and families

• Deliver social and emotional support to children and youth

• Foster authentic relationships with community and educational partners

• Work collaboratively to implement restorative practices

• Develop mentorship opportunities and study groups for students

Requirements:

• Experience in social work-related services

• Knowledge of First Nations community support practices

• Understanding of inclusive education principles

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

• Eligible for registration as a Social Worker
