Location of Employment: 7th Judicial District, Lawrence, KS

Position Title: Veterans Treatment Court Coordinator, grade 44, $72,797.03 annually

• Responsible for creating and implementing the protocol for the new treatment court.
• Coordinate admissions to the Veteran's Treatment Court program in collaboration with the presiding judge and stakeholders.
• Screen applicants for eligibility and conduct motivational interviewing techniques.
• Identify risks and needs, formulate eligibility recommendations, and present recommendations to the court team.
• Supervise CSO staff as needed.
• Track client compliance, performance, and progress through program phases.
• Prepare documents for presentation to the court, manage files, and track program data.
• Provide guidance and direction to clients and prospective applicants; offer ongoing advice to the court team regarding client program status.
• Cooperate with the Specialty Court Program Manager to facilitate training activities and steering committee meetings.
• Report on the status of grant and private funding.

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in corrections, criminology, counseling, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field.
• Preferred military background.
