Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Superintendent to join our team on a single‑project basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their leadership skills while working closely under an experienced Lead Superintendent. You'll play a key role in daily field operations, with strong potential to transition into a full Lead Superintendent role on your next project.
This is a salaried, contract position tied to one project, with an expected completion in the summer of 2027.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Superintendent in overseeing daily on‑site operations, including coordination of subcontractors, labor, and materials.
- Read, interpret, and ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Focus on critical areas such as fire‑rated assemblies, proper framing dimensions, and overall structural integrity.
- Monitor and enforce job site safety protocols, quality standards, and schedule adherence.
- Conduct site inspections, manage punch lists, and support project documentation (daily logs, progress reports).
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve field issues, maintain productivity, and ensure smooth project progression from current phase to closeout.
- Promote a positive and safe work environment while building strong relationships with the team and subcontractors.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, with strong proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and blueprints.
- Specific expertise in fire assemblies (e.g., rated walls, penetrations, and systems) and framing dimensions/structural detailing.
- Prior field experience (e.g., as a foreman, carpenter, or similar role) in commercial or relevant construction projects.
- Solid understanding of construction safety practices (OSHA knowledge preferred) and quality control.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively under direction.
- Physical ability to work on‑site in varying conditions, with reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in basic project management tools (e.g., scheduling software, Microsoft Office) is a plus.
