Position: Economics Assistant Professor - Any Field

Position Information

The Economics Department rence University invites applications for one (1) and possibly two (2) tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level beginning August 2026. The fields are open. The Economics Department consists of 12 members covering a broad range of fields and interests. The typical teaching assignment is 3 courses per semester consisting of 2 preparations per semester. We are committed to excellence in teaching and scholarship in a diverse liberal arts environment.

Primary

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include teaching, conducting research, and providing service in line with departmental expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD and ABD’s near completion will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have a strong record of teaching, research, and service within the economics discipline.

Salary

Salary range $87, annually; the starting rate will be determined by education, experience, skills, disciplinary training, and other factors protected by law.
