Transportation Specialist III
Location: Midland Care – PACE Program
Schedule: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Pay: $17.00 (Pay based on experience, certifications, and driving record. Most new hires start in the lower-to-middle range.)
Make Every Mile Matter. Join our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) team and help older adults get where they need to go safely, comfortably, and with dignity. As a Transportation Specialist III, you’ll be more than a driver—you’ll be a lifeline for our participants, ensuring they arrive at appointments, our Day Center, and home with care and compassion.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Safely operate buses and other vehicles to transport participants between homes, medical facilities, and the Day Center.
- Assist with gurney, wheelchair, and ambulatory transfers including lifting and supporting participants and their medical equipment.
- Support participants in and out of residences and care settings.
- Observe and report changes in participants’ health or behavior.
- Keep vehicles clean, perform pre/post trip inspections, and follow all DOT requirements.
- Assist with light Day Center duties, including meals, supplies, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for transportation needs.
Required:
- Valid Kansas or Missouri driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Current automobile liability insurance.
- Clean driving record meeting insurance standards.
- 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement).
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical & drug screen.li>
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs., bend, squat, and assist participants safely.
Preferred:
- Prior professional driving experience.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
