Night Auditor

Description

The Night Auditor will conduct nightly audit‑related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Responsibilities include balancing duties, daily paperwork, shift reports, guest check‑in/check‑out, reservations, and answering guest questions.

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security in mind, and creating a safe, clean, friendly work environment.
• Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Checking the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
• Processing guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Preparing express checkout folios.
• Maintaining room status inventory.
• Communicating all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathrooms as needed.
• Communicating all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Working closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, travel directions, and explaining in‑room and hotel features.
• Completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.
