Responsibilities
  • Perform pre‑shift exercise/stretching before entering the production area unless a written doctor’s release is provided.
  • Understand all safety precautions for proper operation of machines and equipment used while performing job responsibilities.
  • Operate formers and trim presses, open or close molds and trim tools for repairs.
  • Troubleshoot basic problems in the forming or trimming process related to molds and trim tools.
  • Install and remove molds and assist Thermoform Maintenance with installation or removal of trim tools.
  • Understand the importance of the Mold Check Process Form and mold cleaning procedure checklist.
  • Understand the importance of the Trim Tool Check Process Form.
  • Clean, check, and repair molds and trim tools.
  • Assist other Thermoform Tooling employees in the repair of molds or equipment.
  • Water and air test molds before leaving the shop.
  • Use the tagging system to tag molds, tools, cabinets and components.
  • Notify Tooling Supervisor or Lead of damaged or repair‑needed molds and trim tools.
  • Record maintenance on the Mold Maintenance Cards for each mold and trim tool, including date, person, and brief description of work performed.
  • Notify Supervisor or Lead of supplies needed for day‑to‑day operation of the Thermoform Tooling shop.
  • Keep the Lid Tooling shop and component storage areas clean.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Tooling Supervisor or Lead.
  • Fully understand and utilize established ISO and SQF procedures.
  • Complete inspections as required.
Shift & Pay

12‑hour night shift (7 pm–7 am). Starting pay $26.00 / hr plus shift differential.

Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with others.
  • Honest, dependable and motivated.
  • High school diploma, GED equivalent or work equivalent.
  • Good math and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges.
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work around grease, oils and solvents without adverse reactions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the entire 8‑hour shift.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to differentiate color.
