About the Role

The Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Leader in daily operations and upholds Raising Cane’s standards and culture during shift management. The role includes opening and closing the restaurant, managing cash handling, enforcing policies and ensuring a clean, safe environment. It requires working in a fast‑paced kitchen, standing, walking, and interacting with customers while using personal protective equipment as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure operations meet Raising Cane’s standards during each shift.
  • Act as manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Manage cash handling and enforce accountability.
  • Enforce policies and standards, execute shift management meetings.
  • Use tools, forms, and logs to document results and take corrective action.
  • Direct crew members during a shift and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Utilize reward and recognition program for crew members.
  • Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval (e.g., discounts, promotions, time clock overrides).
  • Ensure cleanliness and that the facility is in good working order.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self‑driven, flexible, energetic with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Work effectively independently and collaboratively.
  • Identify problems, set goals, and execute action plans.
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people, and cost management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and can learn new systems quickly.
  • Willing to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and travel.
  • Complete required Raising Cane’s training programs.
  • 1+ years restaurant or retail management experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
