Central Catholic High School is seeking a Varsity Girls Tennis Coach for the Spring Season.
Reports to the Director of Athletics & Activities.
Minimum Qualifications- Tennis playing experience and previous coaching experience at any level is required, with the high school or higher level preferred.
- Available to work irregular hours/non-traditional schedule as an "on-call" employee when required.
- Demonstrates skill in developing/managing people using a "hands-on" leadership approach.
- Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Maintains confidentiality. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
- Exhibits effective time management and resourceful problem-solving skills.
- Passes all state background check requirements. Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit school employment.
- Manage the development, delivery, and advancement of the CCHS Girls’ Tennis program activities which include, but are not limited to scheduling contests, practices, evaluating players and selecting teams.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of current Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and Merrimack Valley Conference Constitution, Bylaws and Sports Regulations.
- Provide direction, support, and accountability to help students benefit from program participation.
- Exemplify professionalism and fosters goodwill.
- Maintain open/effective communications. Serves as a reliable information resource.
- Pursue opportunities to enhance professional performance.
- Take precautions to ensure safety. Initiates action to manage/eliminate risks.
- Perform other specific job-related duties as directed.
As Varsity Head Coach, this person, with the Director of Athletics & Activities, will appoint and assign Assistant Coaches and Coaches for sub-varsity teams (if applicable). The Varsity Head Coach will supervise, evaluate, and develop the coaches within the respective program.
