GRADE 2 TEACHER

Grade 2 Classroom Teacher – Frost Elementary School

Position Summary:

The Frost Elementary School is seeking a Grade 2 teacher for the  school year. The ideal candidate believes all students can learn and has experience with co‑teaching and inclusion practices.

• Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
• Teach core content in a self‑contained classroom/homeroom: ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using instructional technology
• Cultural competency and commitment to serving a diverse student population
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Reflect on practice and implement feedback
• Attend IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings
• Participate in grade‑level and content vertical planning meetings
• Implement Warrior S.T.R.O.N.G. positive behavior support protocols

• Collaborate with social service agencies
• Strong facilitation and communication skills
• Proficient in English
• Bilingual candidates preferred

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred
• Valid Massachusetts DESE Early Childhood teaching license
• Experience teaching in urban public school settings preferred
• Successful completion of all pre‑employment requirements
• U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work authorization required

$59,988 – $91,858 per year
