Bright Bridge Credit Union is searching for a Vice President of Finance to lead the organization’s financial reporting, analysis, and strategy. In this role you will ensure strong financial performance, stability, and regulatory compliance while supporting capital planning and asset‑liability management.

- Actively lead the staff in hiring, employment activity, employee relations, performance management, departmental training and development, and job assignment issues to encourage maximization of employee potential and morale.
- Maintain and ensure compliance of key policy statements including capital adequacy, interest rate risk management, liquidity management, investments, and risk tolerance; contribute to the development and execution of such policies.
- Coordinate the Asset/Liability Management program in conjunction with the management Asset/Liability Committee and Board Asset / Liability Committee; prepare the quarterly Asset/Liability model by providing assumptions and information to the Credit Union’s third‑party Asset/Liability advisory firm.
- Lead the comprehensive budgeting, financial forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes.
- Manage the accounting department to maximize efficiency and productivity, including making routine employment decisions, reviewing performance, assigning work, and providing training and coaching to subordinates.
- Maintain a strong internal control structure ensuring accounting policies, processes, and financial reports conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Prepare quarterly Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) calculation and analysis, and account for the Credit Union’s impaired loans and foreclosed real estate.
- Oversee month‑end close process and preparation of monthly internal Board reports.
- Provide support and documentation for the Audited Financial Statements and 990/990T process, including maintenance of the footnotes for the audited financial statements and ensuring quarterly tax payments are remitted in accordance with taxing authorities.
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis of key performance indicators, operating results, and budget variances to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement; perform financial analyses and product cost analyses for present and future products.
- Ensure that all decisions support the objective of being the “Best Place to Work and Bank.”
- Participate in various committees as determined by the Executive Team.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
- Ten to twelve years of experience in Accounting/Finance within a financial organization, preferably a Credit Union environment.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting, regulatory, investment, risk management, and technical systems knowledge.
- Demonstrated written/verbal communication, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to lead and develop staff to achieve departmental and personal objectives.
- PC skills including MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial software systems.
