Endocrinology Specialty – Riverwalk, Lawrence, MAThe Endocrinology practice at the Riverwalk location is a collaborative, patient‑centered team specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances. The location offers a modern environment and is part of a broader MGB network.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a full‑time, 40‑hour Nurse Practitioner to support our Endocrinology team. Clinic hours are Monday‑Friday 7:30 a.m.‑5:00 p.m.; scheduling can be flexible to meet department needs.
Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for assessment and management of various patient populations, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of plans of care, and ongoing evaluation. The NP may also precept learners.
Essential Functions- Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
- Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on outcomes.
- Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies and procedures.
- Consistently documents high‑quality notes—admission, progress, procedure, operative, and discharge summaries.
- Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
- 2 years of licensed Nurse Practitioner experience required.
- 1 year of endocrine experience required.
- Previous NP experience in weight management and/or diabetes management required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses required.
- BLS certification preferred.
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License preferred.
