Overview
Nurse Practitioner - Accelerated Care Unit (ACU) in the Emergency Department, Massachusetts
An established hospital system in Massachusetts is seeking licensed Nurse Practitioners to join their team at the new Accelerated Care Unit within the ED. Base pay is provided as a range and actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Manage lower-acuity emergency patients (ESI 3–5) in a high-throughput environment.
- ACU manages both adult and pediatric patients.
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care, emphasizing rapid assessment, point-of-care treatment, patient education, and safe disposition.
- Practice independently, with emergency physicians available in the ED adjacent to the ACU.
- Experience in ER or Urgent Care settings
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Schedule:
8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM); opportunity for part-time - Setting: ACU within the Emergency Department
