As a Sal’s Mobile Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth operations on our food truck. You’ll be responsible for engaging with customers, providing them with a memorable experience, and ensuring that food is prepared and served with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You’ll also assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and sanitation, and work as part of a dynamic team to support the day-to-day activities of the mobile kitchen.

Flexibility with your work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.

Year-round position — not seasonal.

When you are not working a food truck event, you'll continue working at our brick-and-mortar location.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Process guests’ credit card payments by using our electronic payment system.
  • Become familiar with Sal’s Mobile menu and expertly answer customer’s questions.
  • Advise and accommodate customers with specific food allergies.
  • Monitor the pizzas coming out of the oven and cut and box them in a timely manner.
  • Quickly and efficiently assemble pending orders.
  • Help in the food truck when needed with folding pizza boxes, food prep and keeping your area clean and organized.
  • Maintain sanitation of the truck, including general cleaning of the floors, counters and equipment.
  • Always adhere to personal conduct (i.e. uniforms, grooming and punctuality).
  • Comply with company policies and work rules as well as federal and state laws.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with supervisor and coworkers to ensure the most efficient and effective operation of the trucks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will shift as operation needs shift (includes working nights, weekends and holidays).
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Truck Operations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; produce quality products with speed, efficiency and accuracy.
