Security Dispatcher

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $17.96 to $25.14 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. As the Security Dispatcher, you will perform functions relating to emergency and routine radio and telephone communications.

Monitoring all hospital wide infant abduction, CCTV, access control and alarm systems and direct hospital security officer’s response to same. To serve as the Security Department’s resource person for walk-ins needing information, directions or other types of customer service.

• Provides Hospital wide security monitoring and dispatching as outlined by, and in adherence to, hospital or department policies/procedures.
• Receives information regarding Hospital security issues by telephone, radio or other sources; notifies and dispatches Hospital security officers to hospital locations, as needed.
• Monitors Hospital wide infant abduction camera, access control and alarm systems and directs security officers to respond. Notifies local police and fire officials, when necessary.
• Enters security incident/ dispatching data into an automated record management system.
• Documents activities and actions of hospital security officers.
• Serves as a Security Department resource person for walk-ins needing information, directions or other types of customer service.
• Issues hospital employee I.D. badges and parking permits.
• Performs other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 – 2 years’ of security / dispatch experience.
