Responsibilities
  • Works with the YYA to enhance skills of self‑direction and empowerment
  • Provides 1:1 support, coaching, and modeling to improve engagement in services
  • Carries a caseload of 10 YYA for individual 1:1 peer mentoring
  • Provides core staffing for the SEAC
  • Uses the Young Adult Peer Mentoring Practice Profile to define the role
  • Provides outreach and marketing efforts to educate YYA and other stakeholders about the program and services
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required;
    Bachelor's degree in a human services discipline strongly preferred
  • Experience as a recipient of services for people with psychiatric conditions and being well along in personal recovery required
  • One year experience working with Youth and Young Adults with co‑occurring disorders in addition to psychiatric conditions required
  • All applicants must become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment or be a Certified Peer Specialist, or successfully complete Core Elements of Young Adult Peer Mentoring Training within six months of hire
  • All candidates must pass a CORI, reference, and driving record check
  • Access to an operational and insured vehicle and willingness to use it to transport Youth and Young Adults strongly preferred
  • A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years old, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months, and pass a driver's screening background check
Pay Range

USD $21.21 - USD $21.21 /Hr.
