At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support under direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintain a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers, using excellent in‑depth knowledge and communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of a Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific job description.
  • Provide clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track X-Ray orders so they can be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients with proper positioning during exams to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Ensure activities are consistent with department expectations and comply with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Review exam images for initial read by provider.
  • Send final images to the Radiology group for overread.
  • Correctly label the laterality of all images using an initialed lead marker.
  • Confirm no removable artifacts are present in the吃 anatomy requested and ensure the appropriate technique is used for each exam; note any artifacts and explanations in the history.
  • Address minor maintenance issues with X-Ray machines and follow up with the nurse coordinator or Clinic Director for Respublikas prior to outsourcing calls.
  • Monitor the condition of cassettes and other equipment for signs of wear or malfunction and submit problems to the Imaging Director for rectification; clean cassettes, chest buckys, and exam tables after each use to prevent cross‑contamination.
  • Distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
  • Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collecting pertinent clinical history, and charting in the EMS; perform basic nursing tasks when not directly in radiation exams as permitted by state regulations.
  • Monitored and read X-Ray badge monthly.
  • Wear radiation monitors at all times in the X-Ray room and maintain reporting as required.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training to stay current on company compliance.
  • Welcome new employees on their first day and facilitate introductions, clinic tours, and process overviews.
  • Assist new employees with learning activities and required training.
  • Support new employee training through job shadowing, demonstrations, and coaching.
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees and clients, fostering a positive work atmosphere.
  • Perform the physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position as specified.
  • Comply with Company standards of operations.

Experience Requirements and Preferences
  • Current License or Certification
    • ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
    • State License (Registered Technologists and Limited Scope)
    • License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency.
    • TB and IV Certification required to be obtained within 60 days of employment and maintained during employment if applicable in your state.
