Location:1247 Alton Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342

Duties:Lead the organization in research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign.

Evaluate the potential and practicality of products in development. Responsible for all aspects of decorating production to increase value and reduce cost. Interact with technicians in Europe and ensure initial development of new products in Italy will work with the operating technologies of the Lawrenceburg, KY plant. Manage new product development schedule. Provide quality control standard approval procedure for new glazes, materials, or inks.

Ensure all new product startups are on shade target without technical problems and without any loss of production. Inform Director of Manufacturing of any process changes or production issues. Responsible for all glaze and inks formulas. Provide oversight of quality as it relates to R&D test work and production of new products.

Resolve any technology difficulties that occur. Monitor glaze and engobe cost and explore opportunities to reduce cost. Interact with Panariagroup Sales and Markets Departments. Interact with material suppliers, printing machine vendors, and glaze application machine suppliers. Manage team of eight workers. On call (24/7) for non-routine problems.

Requirements:Must possess a high school diploma/GED and 60 months of experience asan R&D Manager or Glaze Line Managerin the ceramic tile manufacturing industry. Experience must include glaze technology and product development. On call (24/7) for non-routine problems. Employment contingent upon background check and drug screen.
