We are searching for an energetic team player to support our Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) and Purchasing teams s position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. As an MRO Clerk focused on Purchasing, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring the timely procurement of critical materials and the organization of inventory.
You will help keep our manufacturing production running smoothly, while demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and a positive workplace culture.
Coordinate the purchase and delivery of MRO supplies, materials, and services to meet operational needs
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues arising from orders
ERP- QAD System
Maintain and update MRO inventory records, tracking materials usage and restocking as needed
Perform regular cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and report discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with maintenance and production departments to fulfill requirements and optimize inventory levels
Assist with vendor evaluations and support the onboarding of new suppliers
Ensure compliance with established safety, quality, and environmental standards
Support continuous improvement efforts in purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes
Perform other related duties as assigned to support purchasing and plant operations
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or related field is an asset
1+ years of experience in an MRO, purchasing, inventory, or administrative support role (manufacturing experience preferred)
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/MRP (QAD) or inventory management systems
Demonstrated organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a diverse team
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity with sensitive information
Knowledge of purchasing practices, vendor management, and supply chain functions is considered an asset
