- Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates the learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Education:
Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred. - Required Skills:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, thrive in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire. - Licenses:
Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
STRHS‑Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99‑bed acute care facility 85 miles south of Nashville. The hospital offers outpatient surgery, a 24‑hour emergency department, an intensive care unit, a 10‑bed physical rehabilitation unit, and a women’s health center. Diagnostic imaging includes in‑house MRI, nuclear medicine, CT, X‑ray, digital mammography and ultrasound. The rehab unit offers physical, occupational and speech therapies. The facility, accredited by the Joint Commission and the Society of Chest Pain Centers, has served Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974.
