Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Student Accounts and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Business Coordinator performs all financial accounting and customer‑relations functions, supports day‑to‑day operations, and assists with supervision, training, and evaluation of staff and student assistants.
Responsibilities- Maintain accounts receivable ledgers by posting student, club, and department transactions.
- Review and disburse petty cash reimbursements; run end‑of‑day reports and prepare electronic bank deposits.
- Perform reconciliation of cashier sessions.
- Process refunds and ACH returns in compliance with federal, state, and regulatory policies.
- Provide management support for staff and student assistant selection, training, supervision, and evaluation.
- Verify transaction accuracy, interpret entries, and identify balances using Banner and other databases.
- Provide counsel to customers regarding student‑related functions of other college departments.
- Assist with the student orientation process.
- Assist with other institutional projects and duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Two or more years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Banner and People Soft software.
$42,100 – $50,500 (dependent on experience, internal equity, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines)
