Job Description
The Legal Associate II is responsible for providing complex clerical and legal support to two or more staff attorneys. The position prepares court exhibits, drafts pleadings, prepares correspondence, and maintains files and records. The incumbent files documents with the local and federal courts, prepares calendar appointments and deadlines, and may serve as a lead to staff by assigning and monitoring work and providing directions.
EssentialDuties
- Preparing and reviewing various legal documents including pleadings, agendas, contracts, and subpoenas
- Providing assistance to individuals by phone and in person
- Maintaining and coordinating schedules, meetings, depositions, and court reporters
- Setting appointments for attorneys in the department
- Maintaining various legal files, records, complex logs, and reports
- Performing various other clerical duties to include taking meeting notes, conducting light research, and preparing cases for trial
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
Job Requirements /Information
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
GradeThe grade for this position is B231. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
- Four years of legal support experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job)
- Paralegal Certificate
- Four years of experience working in a law firm environment
