Job SummaryWe are seeking two motivated students to join our team as Peer Health Educators. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real‑world experience in health promotion, program management, and peer leadership while contributing to a гармоничальный campus environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement health education programs: collaborate with campus stakeholders to create engaging and impactful health and wellness events for students, focusing on topics such as alcohol awareness, safe driving, mental health, and overall student wellness.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes: track participation and measure the success of GOHS programs through surveys, feedback, and other metrics, providing insights舔 improve future events.
- Promote responsible decision‑making: serve as a role model and advocate for healthy, responsible choices within the student body, including safe driving and responsible alcohol consumption.
- Coordinate outreach efforts: collaborate with other campus departments, student organizations, and external partners to raise awareness and drive participation in wellness initiatives.
- Provide peer support: offer guidance and advice to fellow students, helping them make informed decisions about their health and safety.
- Supervise program activities: ensure that all events and activities run smoothly, assisting with logistics such as setup, participant registration, and follow‑up.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
- Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment.
- Interest in health promotion, public health, or wellness initiatives.
- Ability to commit to the program throughout the academic year.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Involvement in student organizations, clubs, or volunteer activities related to health or wellness.
- Basic understanding of health‑related topics, such as mental health, substance use prevention, and nutrition.
- Experience with event planning through school projects, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work.
- Willingness to learn about data collection and evaluation methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and campus staff.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools for promoting events.
