We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technical Trainer who is passionate about the trades and committed to developing technicians through classroom instruction, hands‑on lab training, and mentorship in the field.

This individual will play a key role in building and leading our HVAC training program while helping create the future workforce of our company. This position will be based in our Lawrenceville, GA.

The HVAC Technical Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving HVAC training programs for technicians at various stages of their careers. This role combines classroom instruction, hands‑on laboratory training, curriculum development, mentorship, and leadership development. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced HVAC professional with a passion for teaching, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to helping others succeed.

Key Responsibilities Training & Instruction
  • Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on HVAC training programs.
  • Teach technical HVAC concepts to learners with varying experience levels and learning styles.
  • Evaluate trainee knowledge, skills, and progression through structured assessments.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for technicians throughout their career development.
  • Reinforce industry best practices, building codes, safety standards, and company workmanship expectations.
  • Support field training initiatives and bridge classroom learning with real‑world application.
  • Support and participate in other duties as assigned.
Curriculum Development
  • Create and maintain HVAC training materials, lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.
  • Develop custom learning content to address company‑specific processes and technical needs.
  • Continuously improve training effectiveness through feedback and performance tracking.
  • Adapt training programs to support technicians at all levels of experience.
Training Lab Management
  • Plan and organize weekly lab activities, projects, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and productive learning environment.
  • Track hands‑on skill assessments and ensure technicians continue progressing through training milestones.
  • Build and improve training stations, demonstration props, and learning environments to expand training capacity.
Leadership & Development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to identify training needs across the organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of trainee progress and development plans.
  • Continue personal growth through leadership, professional, and technical development opportunities.

Requirements Qualifications
  • EPA Certification.
  • Current Mechanical License.
  • Extensive HVAC industry experience (typically 20+ years preferred or equivalent level of expertise).
