Arora and Associates, PC is seeking qualified applicants for the following position in our Lawrenceville, NJ office:
ResponsibilitiesAs a member of an interdisciplinary team,
- Prepare traffic impact studies, feasibility assessments, intersection analyses, access and circulation plans and studies
- Design traffic elements and prepare plans for roadway improvements, traffic signals, pavement markings, signing, temporary traffic control during construction
- Prepare design sketches, drawings and renderings using CADD
- Prepare specifications and estimates
- Cooperate and coordinate with other design team members
- Supervise and check work of less experienced engineers
- Visit project sites to investigate conditions
- Review contractor submittals such as working drawings and RFIs
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in traffic engineering including:
- Experience with standards of NY/NJ transportation agencies such as the PANYNJ.
- Experience with traffic engineering software such as Guide Sign, HCS, Auto Turn, SYNCHRO, VISSIM and Sim Traffic
- Experience designing traffic elements including MPT, safety countermeasures, regulatory and guide signs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
