As a member of an interdisciplinary design team:
- Provide technical environmental expertise to engineers designing transportation projects
- Perform environmental investigations including field work
- Prepare technical reports with recommendations
- Prepare environmental permit applications and supporting documents
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, permitting agencies and the public
- Present results of studies
- Cooperate and coordinate with other design team members
- BS in environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, biology or equivalent
- Certification to delineate wetlands and similarly environmentally sensitive areas
- Experience preparing applications for NJ, PA and/or NY environmental permits for transportation projects in wetland, flood hazard, coastal and tidal areas.
- Proficiency with GIS software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
