The Student Assistant will support the Institutional Research & Analytics department in data visualization and publication efforts. The role primarily involves working with Power BI and other AI tools to develop and maintain dashboards. The position requires professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit, with an emphasis on presenting data in a clear and effective manner.
Responsibilities- Assist in the data collection and preparation processes for dashboard development.
- Update and maintain data files to ensure dashboards are current and accurate.
- Support the management and updating of variables across various data tables for dashboard integrity.
- Coordinate and follow up with other staff members to facilitate project workflows.
- Verify filtered data within tables to confirm the accuracy of student information.
- Provide support for other tasks related to dashboard visualization.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical, communication, and time management skills.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
- Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment.
- Demonstrated professionalism with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with common software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.
