We are a 31-bed, inpatient surgical care unit providing high-quality, compassionate treatment for medical, surgical, and trauma patients. Our common diagnoses include:
Diverticulitis, Colorectal cancer, Cholecystitis, Appendicitis, PVD, Decubitus ulcers, Small bowel obstruction, Pneumothorax and other trauma related injuries. The major surgeries we care for are general, vascular, gynecological, colorectal, oral/ENT, and trauma-related surgeries.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
