Description:

The position involves providing care for patients requiring various open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The unit is highly specialized with 20 beds. Special equipment utilized includes intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers. Holiday expectations include working 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
