Position Overview

Part Time Food Service Support role at Devereux
, Lawrenceville, GA. Work on a residential campus serving female adolescents ages 12‑17. The role supports meal preparation, service, and ensures program compliance.

• Work as a member of the food services team to provide nutritional meals and safeguard the health of residential clients, staff, and visitors.
• Prepare and serve food in accordance with established menus.
• Monitor food use and prepare additional quantities as needed.
• Properly store dietary supplies according to department procedures.
• Note any safety issues that require immediate notification of the Program Coordinator or School Office.
• Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards of care.

• High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred.
• Must be able to read at 12th‑grade level.
• At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting; experience with the National Lunch Program preferred.
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to lift 30‑50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull and reach above shoulders.

• Successfully pass pre‑employment medical screenings (drug screen, physical, physical abilities test, TB test and influenza vaccine).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Complete Diana Screen for contact with children.
