General SummaryAs a Senior Fire Alarm Technician we install, program, and service fire alarm systems, serve as the contact point for system service, manage installation projects and budgets, lead crews, and collaborate with customers on integrating related building systems.

- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and test equipment
- Diagnose and repair systems efficiently at customer sites
- Strong communication skills
- PC skills:
Microsoft Office, Command Prompt, and ability to learn manufacturer‑specific software - Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read schematics and understand relay logic
- Ability to travel to project locations
- Edwards Life Safety Equipment knowledge preferred
- Positive customer‑service attitude
- Experience reading blueprints and operational materials
References, background check, drug screen testing, valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair physical security systems on‑site, restoring full functionality in a timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance as required by service contracts
- Troubleshoot issues remotely using provided software and an internet connection
- Travel to customer locations across Florida and Georgia on a day‑to‑day basis
- Work independently to research and resolve equipment problems
- Execute special projects and other tasks as assigned
- Assist with other technical support issues as needed
- Valid state driver’s license (as required by job conditions or company)
- Post‑secondary certificate preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related position or field
- NICET II certification or higher preferred
Work in varied weather elements (heat, cold, rain, snow) depending on location and season.
Utilize construction site sanitary facilities (porta‑johns) and personal tools at all times.
Operate ladders and other elevated equipment up to 90 feet; work in restricted or confined areas such as network closets and crawl spaces.
Use personal protective equipment as required; wear PPE and be trained on safe work procedures per the Company Safety Handbook.
Regularly work 40 hours per week plus overtime; night shifts, weekends, and out‑of‑town travel may be required.
Required Physical/Mental Functions- Comprehend construction drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Safely use required power tools
- Operate two‑handed tools (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, etc.)
- Read and interpret maps, manuals, site directions, and written instructions
- Maintain hearing and vision (corrected if necessary)
- Perform physical movements: bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, reach overhead
- Lift up to 50 lb, frequently lifting/carrying up to 20 lb
- Tolerate prolonged standing and movement on foot
- Climb ladders of all types
- Use arms, hands, and fingers repetitively for full‑day assignments
