DEFINITION:
Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in lab as needed. Responsibilities include blood cultures and blood samples.
EDUCATION:High School graduate, equivalent or higher.
Completion of a vocational training course in phlebotomy or previous phlebotomy experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Phlebotomy certification
- Basic computer knowledge.
