DEFINITION
The Dispatcher is responsible for the day to day operations of the Communication Center. Using the radios’, telephone, and any other equipment in the COMM CENTER that is necessary for the operation of the Ambulance Department. The Dispatching of ambulances or other equipment that may be necessary for emergency calls, transfers, fire department calls, or stand by's. The dispatcher also ensures full compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
Experience as EMS Dispatcher.
High School graduate or GED equivalency.
