Respiratory Therapist

Lawton, OK

Contract | Nights | Onsite

• Perform patient assessments including examination of breathing issues, analysis of blood and sputum, and lung capacity testing
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to improve respiratory function
• Manage, set up, and operate mechanical ventilators for patients requiring life support
• Provide emergency respiratory care including artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and CPR
• Maintain accurate patient records, consult with physicians on treatment plans, and assist with discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on disease management and proper use of home respiratory equipment

• Active Respiratory Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations
• Current CPR certification
• Experience with mechanical ventilator management and operation
• Ability to perform patient assessments and administer respiratory treatments

• Experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Familiarity with emergency respiratory response protocols
• Experience providing patient and family education on home respiratory equipment
